AJ - Profile

Axel Jacob's friends and family call him AJ. AJ started playing at Dubai Lime open mic regularly as soon as the open mic resume after Ramadan in 2007.

AJ came from Germany to Dubai two years ago. He picked up the guitar at the age of 16 and, despite having pursued a career as a lawyer he has never let it go since. He is a story teller who counts to his early influences the likes of Lennon and McCartney as well as a couple of German songwriters.

 His songs like "Destiny", "Obrigado", "Copy and Paste" or the latest "The Lime Tree" are lyrics driven; AJ is a poetic story teller - ironic and melancholic at times; but never fails to express a positive approach to life and its hardships. Most likely his songs carried by his distinctive voice will leave you with a smile on your face.
