We have all spent considerable time there and a lot of our songs were written there whilst on the beach contemplating the stars or in deep meditation in the desert. It is truly a beautiful place that helps one regain balance in their soul. Although we have played a lot of cover songs which we have interpreted to fit into our unique sound, we are much more interested in performing our own music. Dahab have been doing what they love for about four years. Since Sherif Al Maghraby, Majed El Fassi and Adham Sharkawy formed the band, they have played in the DUBAI INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL in 2005, PEANUT BUTTER JAM in Wafi and are currently coming to the end of their reign as dubai limes artist of the month for April 2008. The current play weekly at Dubai Limes open mic on saturday in Berts cafe, The Greens. They are currently putting the final touches of their first album that they as hoping to release sometime in 2008.
