Final Echo - Profile

Final Echo started with Racha from Lebanon, lead singer and lyricist, and Ansar guitarist and co-writer from Pakistan in 2003. Royston on base from India joined a year later in 2004.

In 2005, Hussein from Iran joined with purcussion/congos. Gareth from South Africa who plays drums joined in 2007, they met him at the Original Music Festival and he played with them that same day because Hussein could not make it. Their style is a fusion of flamenco/Spanish, pop, and alternative.

Final Echo has 9 songs now and they are as follows by year and subject:

'Surrender' - lycrics were written in 2001 and the music for it in 2003. It was their first song ever written for the soldiers in the war in Afghanistan, but now it seems it can go for any soldier.

'Fish Bowl' - written in 2003 is about the feeling that you cant swim as fast as you are meant to because you are like being trapped because of fear and guilt, and how to go out of this situation.

'Oui' - written shortly after Fish Bowl and is a french song, about a girl so in love with her man and telling him 'Oui' or 'Yes' to marry her.
'People' - was written in 2005 and is about friendship, and how some people let you down when you get in trouble.

'Peace' - was written in 2004 and its about a feeling of being fed up of having such big problems and wars in the world that everyone is too afraid or too greedy to solve.

'Gypsy' - was written in 2007 and its about moving from place to place, whether its a relationship, a job, a country, an apartment, a school, a college. Its to say sorry to those that were left behind.

'Civilized' - was written in 2007 and its about happy feelings; that they have accomplished so much on earth as part of the human race, and a call to celebrate their achievements, and a reminder that we are civilized with a hint that this means we need not to act barbaric anymore.

'Emarati Friend' - (pronounced the Arabic way) was written in 2007 to an Emarati friend and is in general about how people in the UAE have received them and helped them stood by, when we have run away from where we use to live or emerge out of from war. They opened their country and hearts, and supported so many people and it is a thank you to them.

'Fish Bowl Impro' - was also written in 2007 and is an improvised version of Fish Bowl, where the lyrics are always different.
