Salomon Ligthelm - Profile

Salomon Ligthelm initially wanted to play drums when he was twelve but his teacher said, that he needs to learn at least two instruments, so he picked up guitar as well. Soon he was hooked on guitar and played for eight years now.

The first song that he learned was, "I see a bad moon rising". His influences include; Jimmy Eat World, Snow Patrol, Lifehouse, U2, Marty Sampson, Switchfoot, Phil Wickham and Phoenix.

Salomon Ligthelm has been living in Dubai for eight years or so and is a full time student, studying recording bands, and producing songs. He loved music and he also love being part of the creative area of music. 

He likes piecing musical arrangements together and being in the studio. He also thinks,t here is something so powerful about seeing people respond emotionally to a good song, recording, and vocals.

At home his collection of music instruments are; taylor 314ce acoustic guitar, alesis 61 key keyboard, line 6 POD 2, squier strat.,and tons of recording gear.

However, the most important things in his life are; The Cross, music, surfing, family and friends. Being in Dubai for eight years or so, the best thing that he noticed is the cultural diversity.

Salomon can be inspired by anything when writing his music, however, being surrounded by other creative people is huge, and also spending time reading and watching movies really helped him. He loved music very much and one day wants to be a music producer.
