American School of Dubai is an independent not for profit school, located in Jumeirah, offering instruction from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It is approximately 20 minutes from the Dubai Airport and 30 to 45 minutes from Sharjah. The school has very spacious campus has three main buildings, two-pre kindergaten villas, a two-story library, an elementary art center and two multi-purpose gymnasiums. 

The school offers music program which is scheduled for review on 2008-2009. ASD music standard is a follow:  Sing and play a varied repertoire of music. Read music from traditional and nontraditional notation. Analyze and evaluate own performances.
Improvise melodies, variations, and accompaniments. Compose and arrange music using notation. Analyze and evaluate own creations. Understand the historical contributions and cultural dimensions of music. Understand relationships among the arts and disciplines outside the arts.
