Music School in Dubai - The Music Chamber |
The Music Chamber is owned and managed by a family of four members who are all musicians. Although they also run a showroom of musical instruments, accessories and books, they do not call themselves merchants since many of the items on display are for educational and cultural purposes.
The family, led by Rawhi Abeidoh, who was an avid traveller, writer and journalist, has always felt that there is a big gap for quality teaching, instruments and music literature that needed to be filled. Dubai offered the perfect host being the most powerful magnet of talent in the Middle East. So, The Music Chamber was conceived in summer 2003 in Amman, Jordan, where twin brothers Nasser and Imad had worked as professors of music for more than 14 years. Together, they bring a wealth of academic knowledge, management and musical skills.Shortly after the Music Chamber opened its doors in December 2003, they quickly put on display the biggest variety of musical instruments, books and accessories in the Middle East. Also, rapid academic growth has been built almost entirely on the good word of mouth. This valuable trust allowed them to embark on a bigger project - a proper fully-fledged institute offering private tutoring on a rich variety of musical instruments including piano, violin, guitar, percussions, wind instruments, vocalism, cello and oud. Group lessons are also available in violin, cello, wind instruments, percussions and choir. Most students must undergo an aptitude test designed by the academic advisors as a joint exploration of the student’s musicality. Students, no matter how young, are encouraged to choose their own instruments. The academy feels that child is taking his/her first independent decision away from school and home. With that decision comes responsibility and commitment for excellence. The Music Chamber is located at Crown Plaza, Holiday Centre, Sheikh Zayed road.
