Nikotin's Biography Band biography: Mr.P and Psycho (lead guitarist and drummer) randomly met up in the year 2005 in a music instrument shop, they then decided to jam together and as time passed the jamming was more frequent and they eventually came up with the idea of forming the 'Nikotin', the band has been through many structural changes during which covers were mainly played in local gigs. Eventually guitarist Charlie and bassist Dirty joined the line up in February 2008, that’s when the band started to work on their originals, after making the first track the band met with Cruize while they were actively seeking a professional vocalist that can take on any challenge in that field. Since then the band has been a very close family that just loves to go crazy and play live and practically jam anywhere at anytime. Everyone in the band is unique as an individual and therefore collectively the band is unique in its style and its music. Another factor that makes the band unique is the ethnic diversity as well as the variation in the music background interest within the band. Eventually that all leads to a "different" sound and feel to the band's music which cannot be categorized, in which any listener would be in touch with each individual in the band as well as the band's sound as a whole. The band has played in many local gigs and concerts as well as bigger events such as the Dubai original music festival. Individual biographies Charlie's biography: Charlie's real name is Irfan and is Nikotin's current rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist. Charlie started off as a drummer at the age of 10 and then left it and started playing guitars at the age of 14 but still has a passion for drums and for singing. Charlie's influences include metallica, guns and roses, nirvana, breaking Benjamin, korn, rock and roll bands and progressive metal bands. One of Charlie's main hobbies is Audio engineering, which he learned by himself through experimentation, and he's very good at it . Charlie loves teaching music to others. Dirty's Biography: Dirty's real name is Ahmed & is currently the bassist of Nikotin. Dirty has been born and brought up in Dubai and started playing Bass at the age of 16. Dirty has a passion for singing death metal vocals as well as writing lyrics and was previously the vocalist for the band "on the find" in 2004 and the vocalist of the band "blood lust" in the year 2005 and played bass for the band "tortured thoughts" from 2006 till 2007. Dirty's musical influences include six feet under, cannibal corpse, lamb of god and jimmi Hendrix. Dirty's Hobbies include jamming, discovering, shopping, music, college studies (BBA) , playing cards and traveling. Dirty's major idol is feildy from korn, he loves Ibanez bass guitars and he loves making music including electronic music, house and rap. Psycho's biography: Psycho's real name is Yousuf. Psycho started drumming at the ago of 10. Psycho has had no prior education in drumming, he taught himself and eventually taught many other drummers who are now very good at what they do. Psycho is influenced by any musical piece he hears and utilizes many techniques from all the different genres of music. Psycho's main influences include Mahavishnu orchestra (billy cobham), Dennis chambers, Johnny rabb, bobby jarzombek, mike portnoy, system of a down (john dolmayan), guns and roses, metallica, korn, dream theatre, andrea vandrucci, and many more including bands of hardrock, jazz, metal, alternative, black metal and even death metal genres. Psycho is one of the forming members of Nikotin, he's also a lyricist where the lyrics are influenced by real life events. Music is his passion and beats are his obsession!! Mr. P's Biography: Mr.P's real name is Parham, He's the lead guitarist of Nikotin.He was born in Iran and brought up in California and Dubai. Mr.P started playing flamenco style guitar at the age of 12 and got inspired by blues style guitar players like BB king, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Slash and many more. Mr.P's hobbies include guitar, the beach, looking for the best sunrise, swimming, jamming with people better than him in order to learn more, playing live for a gigantic crowd. Mr. P is hyper and positive and is very in touch with fashion. Cruize's Biography: Cruize's real name is Neil & was raised in Dubai and is currently the vocalist of Nikotin. Cruize's vocals are influenced by a lot of bands from rock and roll to metal . He started singing in 2002. Cruize has performed over various live shows all over dubai. He was the guitarist of the band Nepercon which reached the final 5 at the battle of the bands (Sponsored by HP) in Jan 2008. He's been a regular performing at the Open mic nights sponsored by Dubai lime. Cruize has a degree in Civil Engineering and likes extreme sports especially go-karting. He is mainly influenced by a lot alternative rock & metal bands. |
