The stage was set, the camera crew were ready, we looked around and realised that something was missing, the artists. As we started to panic that no one wound show up - 1 o'clock came and classes finished, within 5 minutes the first band was on stage and were playing and a huddle of people were gathered around the door looking in. The rest of the event went smoothly and successfully. The bands that played were exceptional and they were well supported by everyone who came to watch. The talent that was shown by everyone who preformed was extraordinary and unique, with some very different styles to what we have come to expect from Dubai Limes regular open mics. In my opinion this was a great event that everyone was keen to get involved with, and due to lack of limitations of music, the artist could play in the style of there choice without anyone stopping them, which was fantastic. Personally I cant wait to have a chance to hold another open mic in this situation as everyone who played had a great time and I am sure they will all be eager to get involved with the next event.
