Cassiano had played classical music for one year in an orchestra at Paraeba, Brazil. Then he joined a band calles Das Bandas da Paraeba for four years. Their band was featured on MTV Brazil with four video clips. He was also featured Live in MTV Brazil.

What makes Cassiano a versatile musician is his ability to play and compose any kind of music from rock, classical, brazillian jazz, blues, alternative, reggae – you name it. In 1998, he won the international song writing competition in Sao Paolo Brazil. Cassiano had written more than 100 original songs till date.
